Alight listed as one of the 32 hottest European energy startups to watch by Business Insider

As energy prices soar in Europe, investors are keeping a close eye on the startups making an impact. Alight is proud to be one of them.

The European Union has committed to at least 32% of its energy coming from renewable sources by 2030 and energy startups will be crucial in helping to drive the transition.

To identify the startups making the biggest impact, Business Insider asked investors which companies they are watching most closely. Magnus Brandberg, founding partner at Gullspång Invest, named Alight as one of his picks.

According to Brandberg, solar energy is poised to take off “due to it being a cost-competitive renewable source of energy. It can help reduce emissions and increase energy independence for companies across Europe. This, in turn, decreases pressure on the energy system and alleviates issues brought to the fore by the war in Ukraine.” In addition, Brandberg noted that “Alight is fitting future parks with storage and retrofitting existing assets to include storage, crucial steps in the energy transition.”
