Alight joins UN Global Compact

Alight has joined the United Nations Global Compact, the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative, and commits to help transform our world through principled business and a way of making global goals a local business.

In February this year, Alight officially joined the United Nations Global Compact. The initiative is a long term strategy to drive business awareness and action in support of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, by 2030. Over 10 000 companies and 4000 non-businesses are part of the initiative and have been provided with a framework to guide all businesses regardless of size, complexity or location towards the SDGs.
– Joining the UN Global Compact is an important step to help to transform our world through principled business. So, not only does Alight’s core business fully align with the SDG 7.2 target, we also want to make sure Alight show our values in our own choices and further our thinking about impact, says Harald Överholm, CEO Alight.
Being part of the UN Global Compact means Alight supports the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact on human rights, labour, environment, and anticorruption, and commits to making the principles of the initiative part of Alight’s culture, day to day operations and strategy.
