Alight appoints Investment Manager

In January, Ali Karkuti will join Alight in the new position of Investment Manager. Ali has four years of experience in investment management within the renewable energy sector, completing transactions with a combined capacity of over 550 MW across sectors and geographies. In his new role at Alight, Ali will manage the investment processes for Alight’s solar and storage projects, as well as play a crucial role in Alight’s goal to develop and finance 1 GW before 2025.

In his latest role as Transaction Manager at ib vogt, Ali was responsible for development, fundraising, and investment activities of their solar PV portfolios across UK and Ireland. Prior to that, he was an Investment Manager with Foresight Group.

Ali has a BSc in Economics and Finance from London Metropolitan University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Ali is Italian, but will remain based in London, that he’s called home for the last 9 years, and strengthen Alight’s international team.

Outside work, Ali is an avid football and basketball fan who loves to work out, box, mix music, read, and cook. He speaks English, Italian, Persian and Spanish.
