Progress report for our UN Global Compact commitment

As part of Alight's commitment to the UN Global Compact, we have released our first annual Communications on Progress report (for 2021). In the report we describe the work we have done in actions or policies in human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and how we have advanced the Sustainable Development Goals.

As part of Alight’s commitment to the UN Global Compact, we have released our first annual Communications on Progress report (for 2021). In the report we describe the work we have done  in actions or policies in human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, as well as a measurement of outcomes. We also elaborate on how we have advanced the Sustainable Development Goals and how they are integrated into the company’s business model, in our case SDG 7 (Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all) and SDG 8 (Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all).

Our CEO Harald Överholm writes in the statement of continued support for the UN Global Compact and its ten principles, that “as a solar energy provider with its business purpose deeply rooted in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, it is simply put a no-brainer for us to also commit to the United Nations Global Compact“.

We are proud to be considered leaders within our field, and this is not solely based on growth or financial results, but also by showing thought leadership by for example investing in green innovations or taking a stand in questions that (should) matter to us all. As a pioneer, it is your duty to pave the way for others“, Harald concludes.
