We have a dedicated Site Origination team that carefully selects land most suitable for solar, with strong solar irradiance and proximity to grid connection. We sign land lease agreements for roughly 50 years, enabling landowners to obtain long-term, stable income streams.
After securing land, we ready it for construction by securing the necessary planning and construction permits from local authorities. This involves conducting environmental impact analyses to understand potential impacts on biodiversity and community consultations to collect opinions from neighbors related to the visual impact and design of our projects.
Before we begin building, we procure an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) that will act as a trusted partner in equipment selection, delivery and construction. At this stage, we also sign a PPA, making the project financially viable.
The construction process looks different depending on the type of land, ranging from agricultural to forest to peat. Our expertise lies in our ability to engineer sites on difficult terrains common in the Nordics, always keeping health and safety front of mind. When construction is complete, we connect the project to the grid and it can begin generating clean electricity.
Once a solar park is commissioned, our Asset Management team ensures the asset operates at its fullest potential through proper vegetation management and necessary component maintenance.
Solar parks are temporary installations that do not require permanent intervention on the land. When the solar park reaches its end of life, it can be dismantled, and the land can be restored to its original state.
