About the project: In 2024, the project received a positive decision for its building permits, including the option for a 30 MW battery energy storage system. The park has a capacity of over 80 megawatts peak, enough to meet the annual electricity consumption of around 16,000 homes. This makes it one of the largest solar parks under development in Finland. Construction of the park is slated to start in 2025 and it is expected to be operational in 2026.
The planned park consists of three project areas, areas with a total of 84 ha:
- Ypäjä 1 (62 ha)
- Ypäjä 2 (13 ha)
- Humppila (16 ha)
